Week of Exchanges, Drought and Smart Phones!
This transfer we have made it a goal to go on exchanges with each companion in our zone two times. This has really helped us to get to know each companionship in the area individually. It is amazing to see how each area differs, even in the same zone. Baptism does not measure the success of a missionary. I have been inspired this week by many missionaries and their commitment to do God's will.
There has been NO WATER here in our zone. The water is off most of the day because it has not rained in a while here. We have to collect water every day for our showers and washing dishes... we are in SURVIVAL MODE. We went to Mang Inasal (which is literally the best fast food restaurant ever because it has unlimited rice), but they had NO UNLI RICE because of the water drought... what are we going to do without rice?
If you remember we did that Pokemon Go Mapping project thing when we were in Caloocan. Montalban is now undergoing the same project so we have been doing a lot of mapping recently. I have becoming the mapping expert so it has been fun to be the computer guy. SPEAKING of technology... our mission is getting SMART PHONES! Woohoo! This mission will be a pilot mission in the philippines for using smart phones. It will start either in May or July.. This means we will be able to use smart phones for missionary purposes, unless I get transferred to the other mission for the mission split. So many changes will be happening in the upcoming months. Woohoo!
Alrighty ya'll have a splendid week!
Nagmamahal,
Elder Cadayong
