So many new things

Alrighty what a week. I will try to give the rundown.

NEW AREA! Batasan Hills, Fairview.
I love this place already. I stepped outside and it did not smell like the Malabon river smell of death. There were green parts around us, and most of all YOU CAN SEE MOUNTAINS! Our area has a lot of hills which I love because it keeps us in shape and I love the challenge. The ward is so loving and supportive of missionary work. Plus I get to see my family every single week (which is weird since I am a missionary but allowed because President said so..). My aunt and my cousins are here in this ward and we are currently teaching my cousins wife Sheena. I know this is one of the reasons that God has called me to this area. I will not let up until I have done all I can to help this area progress.

NEW COMPANION! Elder Faulkner.
Elder Faulkner is the most intelligent, wise missionary in the entire mission. I am pretty sure he knows everything about everything, but he does so in such a loving way that he is not a know it all. It is amazing. He has helped me grow so much in such a limited amount of time. I hope he will be my companion until he goes home in September. Not only is he intelligent but is hilarious! His dream is to become a stand up comedian so there is never a dull moment.

NEW PROGRESSING INVESTIGATORS!
We met some new people this week that can really progress towards baptism. Many came to church despite the storms. I will explain more about them next week.

THE STORM
The hardest rainstorm that I have ever experienced has blown away our mission. The roads turned into raging rivers since our area has so many hills. People's houses were flooded even though we were not in Malabon. Oh man I hope Malabon is alright... The church opened up its doors to all the evacuees in the area whose houses were no more livable. Even with the pouring rain we were determined to keep our teaching appointments. We have a goal in mind and the weather will not stop us from reaching our goals. When we got home we were drenched. Our house was in a pretty safe area luckily so we took shelter inside but the power was completely out. We had to do our Zone Leader number stuff in the candle light. It was honestly pretty awesome.

SERVICE PROJECT
We took our P-day which is usually on Monday and went to people,s houses that were destroyed by the rain. There was an area where the mud just completely took out the houses. Everything inside was destroyed. What we did was try to push all the mud out of the house using pieces of wood. Eventually the mudwater outside was piled up too big and started going back inside the house. What we had to do was create a river for the water to flow. We felt like kids on the beach making rivers in the sand. All my practice at Bear Creek Lake part was for a purpose. We made a ditch and let the water flow to a near by river.

ZONE LEADER
I am learning so much as a Zone leader. I am glad to have an experienced missionary as my companion. We got to go to the Missionary Leadership Counsel where we all discuss the problems and solutions here in the mission. I was in a room full of the most intelligent people I know. I felt like a little elementary student attending a college calculus class.. Then people call us from the zone constantly. We do our best to help them out and that is really our role. To help all the missionaries have successful missions. Such a big learning process but I love it.

Alrighty you all have a faaaaantastic week!
