Sick.. again
This week I got a cold so it was a little difficult to work. It is not very appealing when I am trying to testify about the Book of Mormon and I have snot running down my nose and I am coughing like crazy! Somehow we got more investigators this week than we have gotten in previous weeks. Maybe it was pity? Haha!
Yesterday we went out teaching with Brother Glenn Escoton again and it was amazing to hear is wisdom. When the three of us teach the spirit is really with us. Though Elder Buque and Glenn are like Yoda, speaking wisdom with every sentance, and I am like Chewbaca, just making noises hoping that the investigator understands what I am saying. I have a lot to learn. I discover new weaknesses every single day. Also on that note, a member was watching the new Star Wars Movie and it was so hard for me not to watch...
We have roommates now! All the people in our house and in our District are Native Filipinos which is a great learning experience for me! Sometimes I wish I had another foreigner so we can help each other through our struggles but I am really learning how to rely on the Lord when ever I have a hard time. God always has his hands outstretched in love for us. His unconditional, perfect love gives us peace and comfort in hard times. Having our area split in two is such a help though because now we can hone in on a specific area. This means that all our appointments are a closer together so we can be more efficient with the Lord's time.
This week I also learned how to cook my new favorite food: Bicol Express! It is so delicious and spicy and creamy and everything that makes for a good rice topping. Though one thing that I learned is that if you do not want to experience one of the worst pains one can experience, make sure to wash you hands BEFORE using the bathroom when cooking with hot chili peppers. That is all I have to say about that.
God has an influence on every little thing that happens. I know that God can bring to pass many miracles in our days. As a missionary I have the amazing opportunity to see these miracles first hand. When you look up at the stars or look into an infants eyes, you cannot help but see the amazing love of God.
