First Transfer: Complete!

Just finished my first transfer! I have really learned so much while being here on the mission. First of all, I must always remain humble and teachable. Since I am not perfect I must constantly strive to improve daily. Every little action throughout the day needs to be for our investigators and for the lovely people of the Philippines. And I cannot do this work by myself. I need the help of my companion, from my leaders, the members, and most importantly Christ. I have learned a lot of my weaknesses this first transfer. Every day is a struggle, but the most beautiful struggle I could ever ask for.

We had a 5 week training with our batch and it was perfectly timed. Every time I go to these conferences I feel inspired and filled with the Spirit. It was amazing to see all my batch mates again! We all got so close in the MTC and I did not realize how much I would miss them until we were in the field. The progress they all have made amazes me and inspires me to improve.

Transfers were insane! So many people got moved around and we are getting housemates! It will be nice to have another pair of missionaries in the house. Sad to say goodbye to some great missionaries, but their legacy in the field will hold on.

This week I want to testify of the power of prayer. Prayer is the most amazing thing in the world! We have a loving Heavenly Father on the other line of the phone ready to listen. All we have to do is pick up the phone and let him know the desires of our hearts. I promise you that when I have prayed with a sincere heart, real intent, having faith in Christ, God has answered my prayers. I have never prayed so much or so long in my life and that is because I know this is not really my work. This is the Lords work.

While I know this calling is sacred and of the utmost importance, I always need to have a little fun along the way. Everything that is good is of God! As a stress reliever I love belting out songs and dancing around the house. Every once and a while for my physical exercise I even do some "parkour" around the house. Its a jolly good time here in the Philippines.

One funny story for you all, while we were teaching a lesson this week to an elderly man, he just stood up, grabbed a bottle from the side of the couch, and started peeing. I was not quite sure if I should continue talking or not... but yeah. That was... interesting?

We have been helping to build a house lately and it is just about finished! I love seeing the fruits of our labor.

We have had some progress with our investigators and I love seeing their progress in life. I have seen the joy of the gospel in their lives and I can't wait to see what God has in store for them.
