Leave a Legacy

The smart phones have now arrived in the mission! This past week we have been trying to figure out the best ways to manage these new smart phones so that we can use them to increase productivity not to lower productivity. It feels so strange to hold these foreign devices in my hands again and then use them as a missionary. When I first walked around with it I look to the right and then to the left thinking about the appearance. I was afraid a member might think we were being disobedient missionaries.. haha but the reality is that so far technology has really helped. As some of you may have noticed we can now use facebook messenger to communicate which is AMAZING because in the Philippines it is free to use messenger. It has been fun to be creative and figure out new ways to use these tools.

MIRACLES! Miracles just keep on coming. This week we saw so many of our investigators come to church even though we are not able to work that much in the area. The biggest miracle of them all is this one family that we are teaching. The first time that we taught them they were already to accept anything that was said to them. They are truth seekers and are sensitive to the spirit. To be honest that is all that one needs because if we ask God he will answer us, as long as we are committed to act upon receiving that answer. Heavenly Father truly is great.

These next three weeks we will be providing a variety of training for the missionaries in the Philippines Quezon City North Mission.  This training will be on how to use these smartphones as well as preparation for the mission split. PLUS the biggest upside is that since we get to attend each of these conferences and training meeting we get free food EVERY SINGLE DAY! Woohooo!

Life is just busy busy busy. One of my favorite things that we are sharing in these conferences is about leaving a legacy. Legacy means hoping for the future. It means learning from the past. And it means living in the current moment. If we spend too much time in the past or in the future the legacy we leave will be limited. So as my high school's motto goes: lets all leave a legacy.
