Child of God
This week we went and taught a lady named Carmelita. She has been sick for a while and is under the care of her family. However, they are all very poor, so she usually just results in begging for food in the streets. We felt impressed to share a message with her and she had the most sincere question I have heard in my mission. She asked me, "Am I a child of God or a child of the Devil?" Then she started weeping. She honestly did not know who she was. We shared with her the most important and powerful information that we can understand. WE ARE CHILDREN OF OUR HEAVENLY FATHER. HE LOVES US MORE THAN WE CAN IMAGINE. If there is just one thing that I want people to understand, it is this simple phrase, I am a Child of God. We challenged Carmelita to pray to God and ask him if he is her Father.

This is a prayer that I have done in my life as well. It was one of the most sincere moments in my life. I felt the pure love of God manifested to me. Every single day I feel his love. If you really knew me, before I really struggled to know that God even existed. It was difficult for me to understand how God manifests His love and how we can know that He is really there. As I look around at God's amazing creations and his children, I can gain a larger comprehension of the reality of God. I am reminded of one of my favorite scriptures,
The scriptures are laid before thee, yea, and all things denote there is a God; yea, even the earth, and all things that are upon the face of it, yea, and its motion, yea, and also all the planets which move in their regular form do witness that there is a Supreme Creator.
Everything denotes that there is a supreme creator.
Last week I said my last goodbyes to Bob Wiennick. His wife Gemma gave us a call and asked us to give him a blessing. We have spent a lot of time serving and sharing messages to Bob and his health has been really struggling lately. In the blessing that I gave, I felt prompted to say that he was going to return to his Heavenly Father soon. Two hours later he did just that. I thought that having someone that I was close to die would be one of the hardest challenges I would experience. However with God's great plan of Salvation I understand that this is a necessary part of life that we need in order to fulfill God's plan.
While we are on earth, we are learning and growing every single day. What are our priorities? That is a question I must ask myself often as we plan out every single minute of our day.
I challenge all who read this to pray to God to ask if He is truly your Father, and if He has a plan for you. I know that He does.
Have a great week!
