Willy Gonzaga and Warm Shower Heaven

Heyyyy!

Baptisms! Wilfredo Gonzaga (Willy) is one of the most amazing people I have ever met. We have been teaching him now for the past month or so and he has become so willing to accept anything that we teach him. He wants to do God's will and has a great attitude. Honestly one of the best parts is that he has such great sense of humor. Every single time I talk to him I cannot help but laugh. This family has gone through some really tough times... currently the house that they have been in living in for the past 20 years does not have any electricity. This size of their house is about the size of a normal room but it is a whole family. Even though they are going through tough times, they rely on God. Everything that they do is for their family. They read the scriptures and pray every single day as a family because they see the effect that it has on them. Willy has decided to make some huge changes in his life to prepare for Baptism. And now he was ready to enter the waters of baptism and make a covenant with God to follow him for the rest of his life. He was prepared by God.

Other than that, we went on exchanges with Elder Wright and Elder Brown and had the opportunity to stay at their house. The best thing of their house is that they have a shower that has WARM WATER! I took a warm shower for the first time in a year. I have been so used to showering with a bucket. Not only that but I learned so much from Elder Brown. Most of all I think he has a great focus on the investigators. He still has some improvement with his Tagalog and studies. I think he would be ready soon for the next step. He has made a lot of improvements with his obedience and willingness to study. He is not afraid to OYM or teach. They are seeing a lot of progression in their area. I have a lot to learn from this great missionary.

This week I have really focused on inviting everyone that I see to come unto Christ. With every tricycle driver and every person that we bump into in the streets I share with them a principle of the gospel that I know can change their lives. We are seeing miracles every single day. It is amazing who I have the opportunity to meet.

Zone Activity! We had a great zone activity earlier today where we played Filipino games and had a boodle fight! A Boodle Fight is where you eat on banana leaves and there is a bunch of rice and ulam (different rice toppings) and you eat with your hands! This is one of the closest zones that I have ever been in so far in the mission. Each one of these missionaries has such a strong dedication to share the gospel with every one.

Love you all!
