Birthday Boy!

Magandang Umaga sa inyong lahat!

This week seemed to fly by. Elder Faulkner and I have been working hard to achieve our goal of 15 baptisms by the end of next transfer. Before the beginning of this transfer, this area has not had a baptism for over 3 months, but we have faith in this goal and know this is what God wants for us. This is our purpose: to declare repentance and baptize converts. And of course all of this is because we want everyone to feel the ever flowing love of God.

However.... our baptism that was supposed to happen this last saturday was cancelled because the father of the kids who were being baptized was suddenly called out of town for his job. We were sad to push the baptism one more week, but as long as every thing goes well Karen and Brian Pasco should be baptized this Saturday with Gloria and Jemuel Gonzaga. These four people are an inspiration to me and I cannot wait for them to come even closer to Christ.

It was Elder Faulkner's birthday this week! We surprised him at our District meeting with a bunch of signs and cupcakes. He is an inspiration to our entire zone. He is filled with love and charity towards all people. Throughout the day I would not let him forget his birthday. At every teaching appointment I made them all sing happy birthday to Elder Faulkner and it was a blast! Then at night we ended at one of my favorite members who surprised Elder Faulkner with my new favorite dinner: Dynamite. Dynamite is a hot chilli pepper filled with lumpia filling (like a Filipino spring roll kinda) and then wrapped in lumpia wrapping. I guess it is just like lumpia with more spice. WAYYY MASARAP! One member that is there is the funniest person I have ever met. He never fails to make me laugh.

Finally, I had the opportunity to teach another family member this week. My uncle Baltazar and his family are in great need of the gospel of Jesus Christ. I was not quite sure the approach that I was supposed to take but I felt the spirit work through me as I shared the gospel to my uncle. It is like he knows the gospel is true but there are things holding him back because of his past. I hope I can help him through his trials.

I am really started to love teaching every single day. I want to influence others for the better. The only way to improve is by having a constant mind set that we will be better than we were yesterday. Constant evaluation is the first step. And the best way to improve is to have charity and love towards all people.

Have a great week!
