Proselyting!

This will be a short update on my life this time!
We went out into the ACTUAL PHILIPPINES THIS WEEK! We went on exchanges with experienced missionaries and it was amazing! I was paired up with Elder Shelley from Utah. We went around and met a ton of amazing people. It made me realize that my purpose here is not at the MTC, but there is so much more for me to do. It especially motivated me to work harder. I want to be an instrument in the Lord's hands to bring others closer to Christ! I can't wait until I can do it everyday. The Filipino people have very little, but are so loving and kind. They inspire me to better myself.

Since the last batch all left, we got new missionaries at the MTC! They are a lot quieter than the last batch, but hopefully they will open up soon. There is only one new American from Idaho, but the rest are from all over Asia and the Pacific Islands. I love our zone so much already!

One of my favorite things I heard this week was, "You can do hard things." It reminded me of Benton and Lillian who always said it back home. I thought I would refine it a little bit though:
You can do hard things by yourself, but you can do impossible things through Christ.
I have honestly seen this so much in my life. Through Christ our District has been able to accomplish things that I would have never thought possible. One thing that I really love here is that we get to pray all the time! I think I say 30 prayers throughout the day. Prayer is so important to develop a relationship with God.

I love the people here so much, and I love all you at home. Mahal po kayo. I am really starting to miss cold weather and mountains, but there is a special beauty about this place that I cannot quite put to words.
