The most suspenseful day as a missionary
If you have ever been a missionary you would understand the exhilaration of Sundays. All week you work tirelessly to help others come unto Christ. We all know that you don't just get closer to Him through sitting on your couch and saying that you have faith he is there. You come closer to Christ through action. Right now despite having limited time to actually go out and teach, we have a lot of families that we are teaching. We had high goals and we were excited to see who would exercise their faith through church attendance. On Sunday we are waiting at the door looking out at every passing car wondering if that is the friend that we have gotten so close with. It was raining pretty hard so we were unsure that anyone would make it. 9 o'clock hit and we had to go inside with none of the people we were teaching there at church. Though there was still hope. Maybe they would make it just in time. On the edge of our seats constantly looking at the door we see one of the people we are teaching and her sons come in through the door. Soon after that two more came in. Sundays are the most suspenseful day as a missionary. They can be either very fulfilling or very disappointing, though you can always be happy.
Every person that comes to church is a miracle. Though there were many that fell through with their commitments because of the heavy rain and we did not hit our goal we were happy with our efforts and happy with the people who were able to progress in their journey to return to God.
Some other highlights of the week was going down to Manila mission to train them how to use the GPS units that our mission had before. It was pretty intense driving in downtown Manila.. it felt like driving in a video game! The views were gorgeous though.
This week we have Zone Interviews all week so we get to see all the missionaries in the mission again.
